Day 13- Speak and Overcome

Saturday my sabbath day, I woke early morning because I have this very interesting agenda. I supposed to be in my room for the rest of the day but my co-Student Teacher from the Philippines has his agenda at SMP Al-Irsyad, he asks me that if I don’t have an agenda I could able to join his speaking engagement on the said school. I immediately grab the opportunity to calm myself as part of my recovery. Honestly, I hate this feeling of agony that I’ve been through right now. So, I prepare and the car of the SMP Al-Irsyad together with Bu Cici( cooperating teacher of my co student-teacher ) and Pak Muji(SMP-Al Irsyad representative) we went there by car. Nice meeting you again Ibu Cici. My Co-student teacher was asked to share with the student in the grade-8 girls about the education system curriculum of the Philippines. I thought I would just accompany him, but Pak Muji ask me to have my speaking engagement to the student of grades 7 girls. In there I able to talk to them and have an open question about the Philippines matter. They were all attentive listening to me as well as participating as I interact with them. The school was placed in a very good environment it was cool there, a conducive environment for learning. After having a talk we went to a traditional restaurant to have lunch together with Bu Cici and Pak Muji, its name was Warung Suren, Bu Cici told me that the word “suren” is a Javanese word that means starving a lot. They serve plenty of menduan, a big plate of fish, sauté of kangkong, sautee of cows skin mix with tufo and all spices and a drink that, they told me it’s a type of herb that is good for the body, it tastes sweet and looks so good. I’ve been tasting it for countless times, the menduan , but in my a bit longer stay in Purwokerto Indonesia, that’s why I could attest that they have the very best menduan on that resto. so full tummy, after having our lunch they send us back to UMP Mess.

After having such a tiring day, I just take a nap. I remember we will attend a significant event of this regency, they call it Kentungan Festival. We sit like VIP in front of the presenter. Big thanks to UMP for our very good position there. In there we able to witness different creative costumes representing their place. They are all good performers. The judges may be confused if who will win, they are all good performers. It was an entertaining one. A round of applause Central Java.

Along with it, my Malaysian friend decided to come out to buy something that’s why we agree to go out together. We actually roam around the Purwokerto Town Square, then we just ended up reaching the way the kids are painting, my companion was Husna, she decided to try, suddenly I got tempted, that’s why I ask for mine too. I love and got therapy on my drawing it’s a color blue rose, that represents me, petals may fall at autumn and get cold in winter but you will bloom again at spring and definitely radiate in summer” that’s how it is. Behind all the stabbed of life, choose to be brave and survive.
